To me, photography is an art. There is so much more to taking a picture than simply pointing and shooting the image that appears to your naked eye. Photography is about using what the eye sees to build a framework that arouses the heart to feel and stirs the mind to think. It is about composition, balance, creativity, mood and lighting. And it is about emotion and wonder.

As I recently began to sort my way through collections of old prints and digital photos, I came across a few that I wanted to share. I have been taking and collecting photos for nearly three decades and have quite a collection of images to share. It will take some time to work my way through album upon album of memories so please be patient. I’ll post them here as I find new and interesting and exciting ones from my print and digital collection so be sure to check back every now and then when you find time!

To begin…pretend you are strolling through a quiet gallery where you can be alone with the images and your thoughts. You come across one photo then another and another. Take time to enjoy my artwork.
